I.O.N 2011 July 16th and 17th

Greetings fellow paintballers!  I have been in touch with several WPP Mercs about this game and we the Allied side are looking to recruit anyone who wants to get involved in the World's Largest Scenario! 

A bunch of the guys played with us at Stalingrad and from what I read they had a blast! 

My goal as part of the leadership is for you not to drive all the way to Skirmish and waste a bunch of paint on the Germans but to get something done like a mission, base defense, tank escort/tank killing and some base crashing.  Hey you could even bring a Wannaplay Paintball Banner and decorate the German base with it take a picture and have one !!FLUFFYBUNNY!! of a story to tell and  a great souvenir!

You don't have to be a part of a large team to enjoy the fun of the scenario. Small to large groups of paintball enthusiasts are welcomed as well to contact me.

Even if you are even thinking of going and you are not 100% sure you can secure your spot for only $15 and pay the rest off 2 weeks before the event. The Allied side fills up the fastest due to everyone wanting to be the good guy!

Hey Kevin, thanks for posting here, it will help a few of those on the fence about the event to commit when they see command taking an interest. 

Can you put me in contact with the Allied tank crews?  I assume they're already committed to the event and I want to see if they're open to having some support from us.  If I can find out what they need us to do ahead of time we might be more useful to them, though I'm not adverse to being a rocket/grenade shield for the cause. 

Also, how about a nice chicken cacciatore recipe?  I've been disappointed with every one I've tried in the last ten years.

Ok guys, I told Kevin I'd recruit a couple of teams for ION this year. What I'm looking for is 5 people for a recon team and at least 10 for a CP defense team. I'd prefer scenario players with some knowledge of military tactics and communications, but I'll look at anyone. These two teams will be pivotal throughout the battle.

Recon team : 5 people. The recon team will be responsible for gathering intel on opfor movements and strengths, small raids, diversionary attacks, and just causing havoc in the rear of the opfor lines. No spray and players needed on this team. This team will not be moving on trails or established pathways and will be moving quickly to engage and disengage opfor units as directed.

Base defense : 10 or more people. This team will be responsible for guarding the base and maintaining patrols around the base area. You will in essence be the elite guard for our CO.

The most important aspect of both of these teams is the ability to stay on the field for a majority of the day (and night if night ops are called for).

FYI - I called Skirmish this morning and the Allied side is almost full.

I just called and made reservations for two on the Allied side. No problem with space according to the gal I spoke with.

LOL, I guess it's not an exact science. 

I asked how many slots were open and she said:
"Not many, it's purple.".
"Purple?" says I.
"We don't get numbers, just colors.  Green means 'go', purple means 'whoa, it's almost full', and red means 'stop', and it's purple now.".
To which I reponded: "I see said the blind man."

I'm glad we're all registered on the same side.
