i know but i just got my fall semester bill.....its over 6 thousand dollars for 6 classes....that means rack in more hours and find odd end jobs plus babysitting to get as much as possible  Sad Sad Sad Sad  i want to play paintball so bad Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

It's ridiculous how much you have to pay for college! I would know I am paying mine off and i feel like we will be paying my wife's off even longer. Ugh.

good luck with that I have friends that are stuck in the military and they won't let them out and friends who have yet seen any money for college.

Actually I'm using TA for college right now and its awesome. From what I know, a few close friends of mine are using the post 9/11 GI bill and it has yet to fail them...

Certain positions do have stop losses.  But as long as you have served your commitment (1st enlistment 8 yrs) and you did not go E-6 or above they can not keep you. If you accept rank above e-5 Sgt. (or officer) you willing accept the fact that you can be called up for life.
As for using your (earned) benefit there should be no issue there.   I used my G.I. Bill to go to college and used for on the job training.  With no problems.  If you are young, once you go active then get out your parents are no longer a factor for income getting loans either.  + Basic training counts for gym credits (because who wants to pay for gym at college), and depending on your job you can CLEP test for credits also. + who can't use life experience (for skills, or just to grow up).  I personally think kids are fools NOT to take advantage of it!

Funny actually me and Stocky joked about that come next summer I will have a whole year of clinical (floor training) under my belt. I will kno how to give injections and a bunch of other stuff too

Hey guys just wanted to say that I went down and played today and had a good time. Got to check out all the fields  minus the airball field since a team was practicing on it. Next weekend I will start reffing.
